Paris Hilton, channeling Marilyn Monroe
By Spirit FingersApparently if you suspend reality enough, you’ll find that Paris Hilton is every bit as alluring as Marilyn Monroe was:
Actress Christine Lakin has compared her The Hottie and The Nottie co-star Paris Hilton to Marilyn Monroe.
Lakin claimed that the US socialite has a similar attitude to the ’50s icon and brings the same star quality to the big screen.
She told MTV: “I think she is [the modern day Monroe]. Paris is very iconic, obviously. Everybody knows her name, everybody knows her face, everyone knows her brand.
“Like Marilyn in The Seven Year Itch…she had such a child-like quality, and was so funny and charming in her own way. I see a lot of that in Paris.”
Let’s not be so hasty to make lofty comparisons shall we? I mean there’s a big difference between standing on a subway grating with one’s dress being blown skyward and lifting it yourself at some random afterparty for the benefit of your new little friend. Oh well, only time will tell whether the scene below proves to be as iconic as the one in The Seven Year Itch.

Hmmm, It might not be the 7 Year Itch with Paris. I’d put the timeframe more at a 7 week itch- unless you catch it quicker with antibiotics.
