Whose turn is it this week?

Following on from Nicole Kidman’s cover shoot for Harper’s Bazaar and Paris Hilton’s attempt to channel Marilyn Monroe, this week it is Lindsay Lohan’s turn to try and make us believe that she is her generation’s iconic blonde bombshell:
In the issue of New York magazine on sale Monday, the 21-year-old star of “Mean Girls” and “Freaky Friday” poses nude for photographer Bert Stern in a recreation of one of Monroe’s most famous photo shoots, done shortly before she died.
Stern photographed Monroe in 1962 at the Hotel Bel-Air in California, six weeks before she was found dead from an overdose of barbiturates. Those images for Vogue magazine feature Monroe in next to nothing, posing nude with some scarves and jewelry as her accessories and sipping champagne.
Stern recreated those images with Lohan this month, at the same hotel, with Lohan wearing a blond wig and not much else.
So now we have come full circle, completing at last the sullying of the Hollywood icon’s memory by the terrible trio of Paris, Lindsay and Britney. Next up, Tara Reid as Grace Kelly and Andy Dick as Cary Grant!

Marilyn is sexy, sultry, and slightly sliced (what’s up with the abs?) L(ho)ogan looks like she was just poked hard in the back side and while she doesn’t like it, it isn’t the first time… Are we sure Paris is a female? Those feet are the size of a drag queen… As for the Britney mess, did someone turn off the nozzle that keeps her head floating above her shoulders? Looks like she is deflating….

Those Lilo pictures are just bad, and the wig is the worst part. Why not go for the essence of the photo – pose and whatnot – but go with your own natural beauty? Yowza.

The bum-hanging-out picture is of Hayden Panettiere of Heroes. She’s 18, I believe. My guess is that she is wearing underwear, but it just isn’t full-coverage.
Then again, if I had legs and an ass like that, I’d probably walk around sans pants on a regular basis. Which would be problematic, seeing as I live in Canada.

The “bum-hanging-out” picture is actually Brittney Spears, and I’m pretty sure she was at least 18 when it was taken.

I dunno, it looks more like Hayden, although yes, Britney was photographed like this as well. Neither of them are Angie Dickinson, nor ever will be. But for some reason I thought Hayden was 16 instead of 18. Ah well, whoever took that shot missed the whole point of the original, which was that it was a mature sexuality, not some borderline legal teen fantasy material.
