Mariah Carey, not maternally inclined
By Spirit FingersEven though babies are the flavour of the season right now, don’t expect Mariah Carey to be daintily jumping on that particular bandwagon:
Her 40th birthday is approaching, but Carey told a reporter that she has no desire to have children. “It’s hard to have kids in this world,” she told the British version of OK! Magazine. “I don’t think I could properly educate a child right now. Maybe in the future, but I actually haven’t thought about it.”
Carey said having children would leave her feeling “violated… I know that’s a kind of weird thing to say, but that’s how I am.
“For now I enjoy my dog Jack’s company. It’s definitely because of childhood traumatic stuff. The whole not wanting to have a baby as a baby.”
Indeed, so serious is this lady about protecting the sanctity of her womb that she’s hired round the clock protection in the form of high-waisted shorts and an overzealous bodyguard.

At least she’s being honest – no small thing in this age of hypocrisy.

I am so sick of this pressure from society: Just because you have a womb doesn’t mean you have to have children.
If you want to, good for you. If you don’t, good for you, too!
Childless women over 30 always have to defend themselves why they don’t have any children – nobody asks mothers to defend themselves why they had to have kids.
It’s not my duty to have kids, it’s just my duty to be myself.
Same goes for Mariah
And for you.

Had my kids…4 younger siblings, the last one 15 years younger than myself. My gay friends are hysterical, separating humans into breeders and people. Everyone has their place and this is not the dark ages when a woman who could not or would not have kids was an object of pity or scorn. Yeah Mariah! Continue to avoid the “baby bump” fad!!!
