Oh. wow. I’ve just gotta say, the Bindi link is appalling — not because of the birthday cake, but because of what the blogger wrote about Bindi: “Not only did you and dad’s genes make me look like a Chinese Orangutan…” Is that really necessary? Do we need to make disparaging comments about the physical appearance of a child? Ugh.

That was literally the least offensive coverage I could find. You should see what they wrote today. The thing about allowing your PR agency to invite the press to your birthday party is, they will come.

Poor Bindi. I think she’s adorable, and have been very impressed with how poised and articulate she is for her age. I just don’t understand why some adults feel the need to make nasty comments about a child’s appearance. I’ve seen the same thing with respect to Madonna’s daughter. It’s just sad.
