Attention-seeking is a highly competitive game

Jaunty

Don’t you hate it when you’ve spent a whole afternoon trying to clobber together your most eyecatching combination of accessories, only to be outdone by the hat that ate Leicester Square?

It’s a man eater

Okay…totally prepared to be in the minority…but…

I like that hat. I know its crazy! I know it has to arthropods attached to it! I recognize that the green color is comparable to that of flem! But it is so whimsical…it looks like the sort of thing a fairy princess wears to the spring celebration! And goodness knows we all need a bit of spring celebration!

I mean, it isn’t like she wears it in earnest…right?

    But it’s “cobble,” not “clobber.”

No really, clobber is right because the SJP hat is fighting all boundries of taste and sense. Now JCCCM has a point about the springiness of it all but wouldn’t it be better used as a centerpiece for a picnic?

JCCCM I am totally prepared to join your minority. I kinda like the not found in nature rose attached to the beanie purchased off a street vendor who promises only the finest French accessories. It’s whimsical, it defies gravity in an alluring arc, and darn it all, it is DIFFERENT from all of the overly styled sameness found on the red carpet today. Hooray for comitting to the outlandish and prohibitavely expensive. I live in anticipation of the butterfly crusted knock offs headed to the mall next week.

I like it, too! It’s daring, it’s fun and it features butterflies! But the poor sod who hat to sit behind her during the movie premiere…

Barbaro puts a brave face on things as the dreaded Lysergic Acid Bird erupts from his right temple.
