Ayyyy! Puzzle corner
For this week’s Puzzle Corner, we push you headlong down memory lane, back to the heady excitement of prom season. Feeling primped, preened and polished to perfection? Good, for your task is to rummage through the teased hair and frilly dresses below and identify the movies featuring school proms/dances.
Answers will be put up on Wednesday morning. In the meantime, I will be pouting by the punch bowl and then draining its contents with a giant straw.

1. Napoleon Dynamite
3. Footloose?
4. Carrie
7. Grease
8. Never Been Kissed
10. Romy and Michelle’s High school reunion
And I have to say that I really hated the dress in #5, it was a huge disappointment. After all that buildup, that was the dress? Bleh! And I was the right age at the time, too.

1. Napoleon Dynamite
2. Back to the Future
4. Carrie
5. Pretty in Pink
7. Grease
10. Remy and Michelle’s High School Reunion
I was about to change and say #9 was The Last Picture Show..
Or 9. Pleasantville…
Pencils,
I so TOTALLY agree about “that dress.” I know she was supposed to be all funky and boho, or whatever, but come on! That was just lame. And I was the right age too.
The funny part is now, when I watch that movie, I can tell how I have changed. When I saw the original in the theater, I was like, “Oh Blaine, he’s so dreamy. Run to him!” And now I’m like, “NOOOO, stay with Ducky!”
Miss Dove is Right! #9 is Valley Girl.
