Ayyyy! Puzzle corner

This week we invite you to cinch up your corsets and swoon for the theme “British Actors in Period Costume”. Have a ponder over the montage below and identify the dashing gentlemen in question.

Answers will be put up on Wednesday morning. In the meantime I will be partaking in a very civilised tea party at my sprawling garden estate.

Charming chaps

8 is Alan Rickman, in I don’t know what but he’d better take it off and get over here IMMEDIATELY!

No hunky Sean Bean? He looked so good in that Sharpe uniform, but I don’t think I see it here.

Okay so my daughter and I will have to hand in our British passports. The hours we spend watching costume dramas ..for the women’s clothes . We couldn’t get one but Alan Rickman must be there and Colin Firth .

Delurking to say the only one I got was Alan Rickman in “Sense and Sensibility.” And, for Raincoaster, to reference the picture of Alan Rickman from his role as Valmont in the stage production of “Les Liaisons Dangereuses.” (1987, I think)

Alan Rickman on stage? I think I just fainted!

I was thinking the picture might have been from Mesmer; the most awful costume drama schlock, but dear god that man is a sexy bitch!

    Seen his tango?

That is Ioan Gruffudd, but the pic is from the Horatio Hornblower miniseries, from about 10 years ago.

  15. StevieT January 31, 2009 at 5:48 pm #

No, the pic of Ioan is definitely from Amazing Grace 2007. Horatio never got that old, nor stood upon the deck of a slave ship! čśë
