    It was shocking when a Catholic girl named Madonna did something like this 20 years ago. Much less shocking when a former Baptist, now Kaballah follower (or whatever religion is trendy) is doing it in 2007.

    Now it’s just the sad attempts of a 20 something has been to try and get attention.

    She’s definitely (and pathetically) imitating Madonna. I can understand if she was raised Catholic or had some beef with the Catholic Church and is making a political or religious statement or protest here. Instead, she’s just doing this for the supposed shock value, which, as the Manolo so eloquently points out, doesn’t really exist anymore. Pushing the envelope is fine if there’s a reason behind it. But, Britney’s just a drunk, stupid, classless idiot hoping someone out there will still think she’s “sexy” or “dirty”. Very desperate. Very sad.
