It just means I’ve found EatingOffThePeople’sPrincess, a blog that consists of nothing but artfully consumed and arranged foods on a Princess Diana commemorative plate. I mean, did the world really have to wait for blogs to come into existence to give these things a purpose? What did people do with them before, other than sell them on eBay and flea markets? How many generations of royal divorces would you have to collect these puppies to have four place settings, anyway? I don’t remember any Princess Margaret/Tony Snowdon commemorative divorce plates.

Well, I don’t glove this look. One thinks, one does, that if one were Queen one would certainly have a Silver Nose Trowel In Waiting or somesuch servant to do one’s digging for one. One would certainly not go rooting for nose goblins with one’s kid gloves on, because it stains and it makes one’s nanny cry. Although since she was on her way to welcome in the new government, perhaps she was just preparing a nasty surprise for David Cameron?

From the inability of certain persons to pronounce words correctly, due to their fake and ostentatiously upper-crust accents. Or perhaps the habit of leaving one’s kid gloves on while picking one’s proboscis?

Trivia fact: I once dropped a man I was dating, a very nice one, for a number of reasons but foremost among them that he attempted to pick his nose with his ski gloves on, and then attempted to shake my hand. At least I got third prize in a bad date contest for that!
