Japan’s Powerful Fashion Police
This, my friends, is Yukio Hatoyama, the Prime Minister of Japan. And, if the fashionistas have anything to do with it, the soon-to-be-ex-Prime Minister of Japan. Apparently dressing this way is threatening to cost him the last of his 24% approval rating, and who could blame Japan?
I mean, THAT SHIRT? With a Steve Jobs black turtleneck underneath it, for “edge”??? It’s not that you can’t touch this
look; it’s that if you had any sense you wouldn’t want to. Hatoyama cannot win no matter what he does, so perhaps the thought has driven him over the edge and back to the days of Guns ‘n Roses
.
After all, he has to compete with the memory of this:
Le sigh.
