Shoe Out

Fashion blogger Kate Schneider says she gets most of her fashion finds on sale. She neglected to specify how many of the other she got out of the back of Mummy’s closet.

If the shoe fits (and it’s nice) wear it. If it doesn’t, I hope you saved enough in the sale to pay for the broken neck you’re courting.

Why do some women insist on wearing shoes that are obviously the wrong size for their feet? This one’s at least 1 or 2 sizes too large. How DO they stay on? Your shoes shouldn’t have a whole inch gap at the back like that. Models on the runway don’t have a choice, but the rest of us do. If the only ones left aren’t your size… take the hint already.

Couldn’t agree more. This doesn’t look fabulous: this looks desperate. I don’t normally make fun of ordinary people, but this woman thinks her opinion on fashion should be listened to.

I don’t get that either. I see it all the time with celebs on the red carpet. I could see perhaps wanting a shoe a half-size too big, to accommodate foot swelling. But so many women are wearing their shoes WAY too big for them, and I wonder how the hell they manage to not fall out of them.

You can diet your way into a size 8 dress, but you can neither diet nor eat your way into a pair of size 10’s when you’re a size 7. Who cares if they cost a thousand dollars and you got them for free: that’s a thousand dollars of visible stupidity if they don’t fit.
