The Bra from JAPAN

Energy-saving

Charge those babies up, Triumph’s Photovoltaic-Powered Bra is here! According to the caption:

The camisole bra, which the company calls it as “earth and human friendly”, features a solar panel which can display messages on the removable small electric board when the cell generates electricity. The bra is also equipped with pads designed to hold beverages so that the usage of cans and plastic bottles can be reduced, the company said.

Bearing in mind that it’s actually underwear,  I’m kind of excited about the ability to cleverly conceal unidentified liquids and communication devices beneath my everyday clothes.  Don’t you love it when lingerie and technology conspire to make spy movies the stuff of reality?

How does a solar panel charge if it’s UNDERWEAR? Just curious. And I’m not really sure about sucking on my breast augmentation pads for liquid refreshment. How would I tell if I was doing it evenly? Would I have one giant boob and one small flapping sac if I was extra thirsty?

The best part is that model has no boobs whatsoever of you look closely. Nothing but air up there!

You’ve got a nice blog there and I really enjoy reading your views on bra matters.

I saw on television here in Germany that someone has designed a swimsuit with solar panels for recharging your phone/MP3 player while at the pool. (Yes, it can get wet.) Now *that* seems useful compared to the underwear version.

Not sure how effective this is. Firstly, why put a solar panel on underwear? The very title “underwear” suggests that it’s supposed to be worn under clothing, which would block the sun, right? Secondly, what liquid do you want strapped to your breasts? Coffee might melt those flimsy plastic containers (and burn sensative nipples), beer or water would quickly warm to body temperature. Maybe warm Saki?
